Rwanda records 6 deaths from Marburg virus
Yesterday, the Rwandan authorities recorded six deaths due to the “Marburg” virus.
The Rwandan government explained that the deaths and injured people who are still receiving treatment are mostly health workers. Calling on citizens to be vigilant.
Rwandan Health Minister Sabine Nsanzimana explained; Efforts are underway to trace people who have been in contact with individuals infected with the virus.
Marburg virus is a viral hemorrhagic fever that can cause death for some infected people, with symptoms including severe headache, vomiting, muscle pain, and stomach pain.
