Dr. Abdelaty Elmannaee Visits Kampala Eye and LASIK Hospital and Praises Egyptian Medical Achievements in Uganda
At the gracious invitation of Professor Dr. Ehab Abou Ali, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Chairman of Kampala Eye and LASIK Group, Dr. Abdelaty Elmannaee, Chairman of Travicare Health Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Afro-Asian Foundation for Medical Tourism and Environmental Tourism, paid an official visit to Kampala Eye and LASIK Hospital in Uganda.
Dr. Elmannaee was warmly received by Eng. Mohamed Mounir, the hospital’s Administrative Director, Dr. Mostafa Abouda, Specialist in Ophthalmology and Eye Surgery, along with the hospital’s technical and administrative team. During the visit, he conducted a comprehensive tour of the hospital’s various departments, where he reviewed the latest diagnostic technologies, advanced operating units, and the integrated medical services provided according to the highest international standards.
During the tour, Dr. Abdelaty Elmannaee expressed his great admiration for the hospital’s advanced medical capabilities and the professional competence of its staff. He praised the hospital as a successful model of an Egyptian world-class medical institution operating on Ugandan soil, offering a comprehensive range of ophthalmic services and surgeries, including corneal transplantation, retinal surgeries, and one-day procedures such as cataract surgeries and others.
At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Elmannaee expressed his appreciation for the generous invitation, emphasizing that what he witnessed was a true source of pride and honor, not only as an advanced medical model but also as a genuine embodiment of Egyptian-African integration in the healthcare sector.
He also commended the spirit of cooperation between the Egyptian and Ugandan teams, describing it as “a harmonious symphony” that combines wise management with outstanding capabilities to meet the healthcare needs of the people of Uganda and the African continent.
Dr. Elmannaee concluded his remarks by wishing continued success and progress for this distinguished medical institution, stressing the importance of supporting such initiatives in strengthening the path of health tourism across Africa.
